I recently had the opportunity to try out the PoolGuard PGRM 2 In Ground Pool Alarm. This product is designed to detect intrusions into your pool, similar to a one year old child. I was eager to test it out and see just how effective it is.
The installation was relatively simple, requiring only a few basic tools and about an hour of my time. The alarm is NSF certified to ASTM Standard F2208 and made in the USA, so I felt comfortable knowing that I was getting a quality product. It is powered by one 9V battery which should last for up to two years with normal use.
Once installed, the PoolGuard PGRM 2 In Ground Pool Alarm is always in the alarm ready mode and cannot be deactivated. It has an in house remote receiver with a range of up to 200 feet, making it easy to monitor whats going on in your pool from anywhere in your home. The receiver also has horns that are 85 decibels at 10 feet, so youll definitely hear it if someone or something enters your pool uninvited!
The alarm is suitable for pools up to 20 x 40 or 800 square feet and comes with a 3 year warranty, so you can be sure that youre getting a reliable product that will last for years to come. With all of these features combined, this alarm offers great value for money.
