Product Overview
I recently had the pleasure of trying out Meinl Percussion s Jumbo Bass Subwoofer Cajon and I have to say that I was blown away by its sound and features. This cajon is a great addition to any percussionist s arsenal, and it s perfect for live performances.
The Meinl Jumbo Subwoofer Cajon is huge in size and sound. The body of this cajon is jumbo sized at 13 W x 19 H x 13 D, allowing for plenty of room for bass frequencies to develop inside for a nice wallop with plenty of boom behind it. It also has forward facing ports with an internal bass reflex channel which directs sound waves and air through the ports, creating a bass note that feels like a kick drum. Additionally, the walnut playing surface along with modern composite body dish out cutting slap tones and deep bass, while the dual sets of internal fixed snare wires add the dimension of a crisp snare drum sound when playing near the top corners of the playing surface.
The construction of this cajon is also quite sturdy, as it features a modern composite body which not only reflects sound for more articulation but gives it an extra bit of ruggedness for heavy touring or frequent use. Further enhancing its durability are four solid silicone feet located on the underside which eliminate unwanted vibrations while protecting the cajon body from scratches on virtually any surface.
The Meinl Percussion Jumbo Bass Subwoofer Cajon is ideal for percussionists who want to get a huge bass tone and feel every beat they play. It s perfect for live performances as it will project toward your audience without losing any detail or clarity in its sound quality. If you re looking for a powerful cajon that will help you make an impact on stage, then I would highly recommend this one from Meinl Percussion.
