Duratech Universal Wrench Set Review

I recently had the opportunity to try out the DURATECH Universal Wrench Set and I am completely impressed. This is a premium set of wrenches made from carbon steel, which makes them incredibly tough and durable. They are finished in a polished look that is sure to last for years to come. The head style is Torx, which is great for getting into tight places without damaging the fastener or wrench.

The set includes two sizes: an 8 inch universal wrench that fits standard sized nuts and bolts from 3/16 to 5/8 and metric nuts and bolts from 5mm to 16mm and a 10 inch wrench that fits standard sized nuts and bolts from 11/16 to 1 1/16 and metric nuts and bolts from 17mm to 27mm. Both of these wrenches have been drop forged, heat treated, double threaded, mirror polished, and electroplated so that they are guaranteed to meet ANSI specifications.

Using these wrenches was extremely easy. The working torque was 1.2 times greater than the American standard of the double box end wrench, while the destruction torque was 1.4 times greater than the American standard of the double box end wrench. Additionally, their specialized design allowed me to work on multiple types of fasteners including 6 point, 12 point, square, E Torx, triangle, and most rounded out fasteners with ease. I especially liked how this wrench could do both American standard and Metric sizes with just one tool no need for switching back and forth between different sized wrenches!
