ARRIS SURFboard SBG8300 DOCSIS 3.1 Gigabit Cable Modem AC2350 Dual Band Wi Fi Router Review

I recently had the opportunity to test out the ARRIS SURFboard SBG8300 DOCSIS 3.1 Gigabit Cable Modem AC2350 Dual Band Wi Fi Router. I was impressed with its features and functionality, especially considering its affordability.

The SBG8300 is a great choice for anyone looking to save on monthly rental fees from their cable service provider. It comes with 32 downstream x 8 upstream DOCSIS channels and 2 downstream x 2 upstream DOCSIS 3 1 OFDM channels, making it perfect for cable internet speed plans up to 4 Gbps. The modem router is compatible with major U.S. Cable Internet Providers including CableOne/ Sparkligh, Comcast Xfinity, Cox, Grande Communicatio, Mediacom, RCN, Service Electric, Spectrum Charter, TWC, BHN , Wave Broadband, WOW but not compatible with ATT, Verizon, CenturyLink or other DSL or Fiber internet providers.

The product also includes an AC2350 dual band concurrent Wi Fi Router with 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports that provide up to 1800 square feet of coverage and easy setup and manage your network with the SURFboard Manager app so you can add SURFboard skills to your Alexa network for voice management of your Wi Fi settings.

In terms of design and build quality, the SBG8300 is a sleek black box that fits perfectly on any shelf or desk space. It has two antennas attached to the back of the device which helps boost signal strength and range throughout your home or office space. The included power adapter provides plenty of power for the device and it also has four USB 2.0 ports which can be used for additional storage or charging devices such as phones or tablets.

Installation was relatively simple and straightforward thanks to the quick start guide thats included in the package. After connecting all cables and turning on the power switch, I was able to access my wireless network in minutes using my laptop computers built in wireless capabilities. I was also able to connect multiple devices such as my smartphone and TV easily without any difficulty at all.

Overall I am very pleased with the performance of this product and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for fast reliable internet speeds at an affordable price point. The SBG8300 offers great value for money as well as excellent tech support should you need any help along the way.
