Hasbro Connect 4 Classic Board Game Review

I recently had the opportunity to play Hasbro Gaming s Connect 4 Classic Board Game and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product and how much fun it was to play. The game is designed for two players, making it perfect for a family game night or a quiet night in with a friend. The components are made from durable plastic and include a grid, two legs, a slider bar, 21 red discs, 21 yellow discs and instructions.

The goal of the game is to get four of your pieces in a row either horizontally, vertically or diagonally before your opponent does. To do this, each player takes turns dropping one of their colored discs into one of the slots at the top of the board. Each time you drop a disc it falls into an empty slot below and if there are already four discs in that column they will be pushed out of the way as your piece slides down. This makes for some interesting strategies as you try to block off your opponent while setting up your own winning combinations.

What I really enjoyed about this game was how easy it was to learn the rules and start playing right away. Even my five year old niece was able to understand how to play after only a few minutes of instruction and she quickly became quite competitive! The game also comes with instructions for more advanced play that even adults can enjoy.

The design is great too everything fits neatly together so you can easily store it away when not in use. It s also small enough to take on vacation or even just out for an afternoon picnic so it s definitely giftable!
