Product Overview
I recently had the opportunity to test Fitbit s newest product, the Charge 4. This all in one fitness tracker offers a comprehensive suite of features that makes tracking your activity and sleep a breeze.
The Charge 4 is the latest in Fitbit s line of wearables and it really stands apart from its predecessors. The device is sleek and stylish, with a 1.5 inch screen that displays time and date, steps taken, heart rate, active minutes, and more. Its lightweight design allows for comfortable wearing throughout the day and night.
One of my favorite features of the Charge 4 is its built in GPS tracking capabilities. This allows you to see your pace and distance on the display during outdoor runs, hikes, and rides. You can also view an intensity map in the app which shows your heart rate changes along your route. Additionally, the Active Zone Minutes feature will give you a buzz when you reach your target heart rate zones during exercise and reward you with extra minutes outside of exercise.
The 24x7 heart rate monitoring is also useful for tracking resting heart rate as well as calorie burn. Syncing to mobile devices requires Bluetooth LE and an internet connection, but once connected it will sync with Mac OS X 12.2 or later, iPhone 5S or later, iPad 5 gen or later, Android 7.0 or later. The Charge 4 also features SpO2 monitoring which allows you to track your skin temperature each night to see how it varies from your personal baseline not available in all markets . The device is also swimproof and water resistant up to 50 meters so you can track swims without worry!
The Charge 4 has an impressive battery life that can last up to 7 days depending on usage and other factors however using GPS will reduce this time down to around 5 hours. There are 20 goal based exercise modes which allow for real time tracking of workouts right on the device so you can stay motivated while reaching those goals!
Overall I am very impressed with the Fitbit Charge 4. It has an extensive range of features that make tracking activity and sleep easy while still looking stylish on your wrist. Whether you are just starting out in fitness or already an avid gym goer there is something here for everyone! I would highly recommend this device to anyone looking for a comprehensive fitness tracker that looks great on their wrist too!
